Thank You for the Blessings Thank you for the blessings of this life, for the beauty right before my eyes: for the promise held within each seedling’s leaves to the magic purple morning skies. These alone are the gifts of your hand. By your grace they are precious and free. Through the wondrous mystery of this life you have opened my eyes – help me see! Thank you for a song that fills my heart with the presence of a holy light, for the awesome wonder of a child’s embrace reaching out to warm the darkest night. These alone are the gifts of your hand. By your grace they are precious and free. Through the wondrous mystery of this life there are yet greater gifts left to see! Thank you for the lessons of this life and the wisdom that the truth reveals: a freedom bought with such a wondrous love; by your sacrifice our hope was sealed! This alone was the gift of your hand. By your grace it is precious and free. Through the wondrous mystery of this life you have given me hope – set me free! Thank you for the blessings of this life and the promise that your peace will bring! May I live a life that’s worthy of your song – to your melody my voice will sing!

Rebirth 02:27
Rebirth May today be filled in wonder for the colors of the Earth, springtime’s palette blossoms with the mystery of rebirth. When the cobalt sky of winter and the deep December snow yield in due season, then the clear waters flow. What was once a mask of iron, what lay lifeless as the grave, wakens from its slumber to behold the light of day. Without so much as a question or to ask the reason why, the circle keeps evolving ‘round the Earth, through the sky. The Blue Jay and the Sparrow with the Cardinal and the Crow take their place upon the stage; their part and lines they know. Blue Jay speaks of justice, and Sparrow sings of youth, Cardinal pleads for mercy while Crow calls for truth. Let the colors of the season in this miracle of spring reveal to us the synchrony of life, remembering that in the question is the answer, and that Love’s the reason why the everlasting circle spins its sweet mystery.

Sanctuary 03:17
Sanctuary My heart sings a vision of a place that is to be: a home and a solace – a sanctuary where the green branches shelter my bed from the sky, and the whispering summer wind sings its own lullaby. The earth, in its sweetness, makes a cradle for my bed; the birds of the forest stand guard ‘round my head keeping watch through the darkness until morning’s light, when, in song, the morning dove takes to flight. And, when evening’s shadows linger on and trouble me, when all earthly living now ceases to be, still my home and my solace continue to be in the shelter of heaven’s own canopy. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not live in want. By crystal clear waters he leads. And my heart will find rest in pastures green, and amid those who threaten me, he feeds. And, yet, though I walk into the valley of my death, he is with me and there is no fear. Sure his mercy and goodness will still follow me. In his house, my dwelling place is here.

A Moment in Time In this moment in time when, at last, all is still, when all thoughts rushing by can be silenced at will, there comes a time in the journey when, just for a while, my heart can see clearly so that I’ll hear the notes and the rhyme – a new song to sing – played in tune with all time and remembering it’s the song of creation. Its melody is heard in mid-summer’s breeze and in the voice of the bird. And this moment in time is as tender and new as the leaf on the vine opening up into view. But take care not to overlook its place on the tree, transforming sun’s light to energy, feeding flower and fruit through this strange chemistry. And the Earth is sustained by pure mystery when, in a moment of blessing, it falls from the tree to, once again, feed the earth setting its own spirit free. Take this moment in time, it is waiting here for you! Between the verses, take time to listen for its truth. Its message is simple, its meaning will be clear. Open your heart to its healing. It’s love’s voice you will hear!

Vision Quest 02:06
Vision Quest Beneath the quiet hush it is heard. In stillness comes the soft-spoken word. Transcending all our moments of time, the gentle voice is heard. It comes not as a master’s decree, a cymbal crash, or loud prophesy. Between the beats of your heart it will sing its own clear melody. And, if at first, its message be confounding or of uncertainty, be present still and wait for a time. Its meaning you will find. Then, when at last its truth is revealed, its clarity cannot be concealed. Accept the wondrous gift that it brings, and share the song you’ll sing!

In Search of Pan Flying on a whisper to a “never-never land,” in search of possibilities, in a search to understand the wisdom of the ages, the promises of time, I set my course into the wind so the answers I might find. I fly amid the clouds and stars through a vast expanse of space. Without the pull of Mother Earth, I soar with ease and grace, led only by a sparkling light and a voice that beckons, "Come and see the place where love is born, a place you can call home. And deep within the forest is the presence of the Child, a spirit clothed with innocence, a spirit free and wild. The essence of the love that was born so long ago – the answer to the question, and in your heart you’ll know.” The beauty of the forest in this not-so-never land now sings to the wonder as to how it all was planned. As the morning mist rises to meet the waking sun, the forest creatures greet the day, each with their own new song. And the Child of your searching now stands in front of you as you see your reflection in the clear crystal pool. Her heart knows with certainty, she now understands the message and the mystery of the child known as “Pan.” So find that “place where dreams are born, where time is never planned.” It’s right inside, a breath away – it’s here in your hand! Now at long last your search is through, it ends where it began. So live the dream that fills your heart in love’s forever land. And look within the forest for the presence of the Child – a spirit clothed with innocence, a spirit free and wild – the essence of the love that was born so long ago, the answer to the question, and in your heart you’ll know that in the question is the answer, and in your heart you’ll know.

Catch Your Dream Little child, take my hand and catch a dream along the way. Little child, laugh, and you will understand that life is a blessing, full of wonder, new in every day, a gift from a great and gentle Loving Hand. You see your dream is a beautiful picture of all you’re meant to be, a promise of new hope for all the Earth. It’s like the search for the end of the rainbow, painted in the sky – a joy with no beginning, without end. Little child, take your dream, be strong, and cast it to the wind. Share it in love and send it on its way. Live in the Spirit, sing your song, and dare to dream again. Impossible things can happen every day! Because your dream is a beautiful picture of all you’re meant to be: a promise of new hope for all the Earth. Impossible things just happen every day!

about

I’d like to dedicate this selection of songs to a wise healer and friend, Kathy Taber Post, who guided me in my search for that “inner child” on this ever-evolving journey home.
